Low and behold, my husband and I were shopping in one of the Look Mom I Can Fly A Cactus Jack Production Vintage Mug and I love this chain stores (might have been Canadian TIre since I don’t usually shop there on my own) and I found boxes of those bubble lights and to top it off they were on clearance. I also found the plain lights on sale to intersperse with the bubble lights. Someone was looking after us old fogies that still like the glow of incandescent lights and not the LED mini lights. I think I bought 20 bubble lights and 30 incandescent bulbs (that was 6 months ago…my memory is shot these days) I am good for a few more years now and that is motivation to put up the tree each year.

Yes and no. I’ve seen some gorgeous trees so laden with ornaments you could barely see tree beneath them, and I’ve seen trees that are over-loaded that look absolutely horrible. I think it all depends on the Look Mom I Can Fly A Cactus Jack Production Vintage Mug and I love this style, the size, and the colors of the ornaments that are used and each persons idea of too many ornaments. THIS TREE IS OVER-DECORATED (IN MY OPINION, IT LOOKS LIKE A SHELF AT THE GOODWILL, BUT MY SISTER WOULD KILL TO HAVE A TREE LIKE THIS) THIS IS MY IDEA OF A WELL-DECORATED TREE-MINUS THE MINI MOUSE ON THE BOTTOM, AND I THINK I SPY A POSSIBLE GOOFY ON THE RIGHT NEAR THE TOP, HE’D HAVE TO GO TO. Now, what I really find horrible is this new idea of a “minimalist” Christmas tree. Some lights and maybe just a few ornaments, but I guess the idea of letting the tree be the glory just doesn’t appeal to me. It just looks unfinished.
