It’s also wonderful when we’re just lying under the Look Mom I Can Fly A Cactus Jack Production Mug besides I will buy this Christmas tree, and staring up at them, or when all the other lights are out, and we’re just sitting staring at the tree, listening to our favourite Christmas songs, and simply enjoying being together. So much to look forward to, and if we’re lucky, we’ll not only get to see the Aurora Borealis tonight, but perhaps a meteor shower as well. I’m so excited, they’ll be my first. We refer to this as the “Blair Witch” ornament, and it’s actually one of a series, all similar, and all given to me by my kids. They’re pretty weird, and to add another layer of creepy, the cats, both adopted since last winter, are particularly fond of them. As in, removing them from the tree, dragging them through the apartment, and leaving them someplace for us to find. Not really an ornament but I love these bubble lights. I had them when I was a little girl and loved watching them bubble and glow on our tree. Of course they are not the mini lights that are so popular now but I have three strings of the old fashioned lights with about 10 of these interspersed on the tree.

I had three strings of lights (about 36 bulbs) when I found them at one of our stores 38 years ago when my husband and I started decorating our home as newlyweds. I never used all of them at once…but interspersed them with just the Look Mom I Can Fly A Cactus Jack Production Mug besides I will buy this plain colored light bulbs that were popular then. Over the years they have burned out one by one. This year I was down to my last 15 bulbs and I knew that when the last one was gone…it was time to capitulate and buy the mini lights. I went all over to try to find those lights and no one was selling them. They hadn’t sold the bubble lights or the plain lights for years. I knew there was a Christmas store in Banff that had a string of them in stock and we would be there in the summer…but it seemed like a waste to buy a string of lights when I only needed the bulbs.
