If I have a death in the family, or injure myself or whatever I feel is more important, I don’t mow, and we can’t afford to hire someone to do it so it waits and my neighbors can deal (granted I’ve never gone for months except in slow-grow seasons). Maybe your neighbor has injured themself or had surgery or is disabled and aside from that can’t afford lawn care (that shit ain’t cheap since teenagers aren’t doing it anymore). Maybe you should walk over, knock on the door, introduce yourself or reintroduce yourself and see if they need any help.

I have a friend who is a disabled vet.
